Ordinary passengers are not recommended to wear N95

Nanfang Daily (Reporter/Zhu Xiaofeng) Airplane flights belong to confined spaces. Under the normal situation of the prevention and control of the new coronary pneumonia epidemic, should I wear a mask when flying? What masks should I wear? Recently, the Epidemic Prevention and Control Group of the New Coronary Pneumonia Prevention and Control Command Office of Guangdong Province issued the "Guidelines for the Use of Masks in Airplane Flights of Guangdong Province" (hereinafter referred to as the "Guidelines"). Detailed guidelines.
For ordinary passengers, the "Guide" requires that ordinary passengers should wear disposable medical masks or disposable medical surgical masks correctly throughout the entire journey. Children should wear special masks for children. If children feel uncomfortable (such as allergies, suffocation, shortness of breath, etc.) while wearing the masks, they should adjust or stop using them in time. Based on the protection risks and wearing comfort, ordinary passengers are not recommended to wear medical protective masks (N95 and above) and various types of particulate protective masks (such as KN95, N95, FFP2, etc., and masks with breathing valves).
For flight attendants, the "Guidelines" make it clear that flight attendants should wear disposable medical masks or disposable medical surgical masks correctly throughout the journey. Based on protection risks and wearing comfort, it is not recommended to wear medical protective masks (N95 and above) and various types of particulate protective masks. When you need to deal with a suspected case, you should immediately replace the medical protective mask (N95 and above) or particulate protective mask without breathing valve (such as: KN95, N95, FFP2, etc.).
In addition, there are four key personnel to pay special attention to. First, new coronary pneumonia close contacts, travelers from high-risk areas. It should be arranged in the rear row of the aircraft, and wear disposable medical surgical masks or protective masks that meet the KN95/N95 and above levels throughout the journey. The second is people with fever, cough and other symptoms except those listed in the first category. Wear disposable medical surgical masks or protective masks with no breathing valve conforming to KN95/N95 or above. Third, passengers with severe cardiopulmonary diseases should wear masks according to doctor's guidelines. Fourth, infants and children under 3 years of age may not wear masks.
The "Guide" also puts forward precautions to remind everyone to pay attention to hygiene. Hand hygiene should be done before wearing a mask and after removing it. The mask should be replaced every 4 hours or after being wet. When changing the mask, keep a safe distance of 1 meter or more in a relatively safe area or with others. Multiple masks should not be worn at the same time. Wearing multiple masks at the same time can not effectively increase the protective effect, but increase the respiratory resistance, and may destroy the adhesion.
If you wear a mask and find discomfort such as chest tightness and shortness of breath, you should immediately remove the mask for ventilation in a relatively safe area or maintain a safe distance of more than 1 meter from others. Ordinary waste masks are treated as "other garbage". Other waste masks that are suspected of being contaminated must be stored separately and treated as hazardous waste.
